Quell Your Fears with Reason
Fear is not the enemy. We do not need to eliminate it. We need to question and acknowledge our fears. We must examine them and dismantle the panic they create.
Most people suffer more in their minds than in reality. They suffer from imagined outcomes and terrors.
When facing fear, it is important to relax and breathe. Then, we take action. We don’t panic or run; we keep moving forward.
We do not suppress or flee; we acknowledge fear. We welcome it. We understand that fear is the mind’s way of indicating that danger may be present.
We are not trying to fool ourselves. We are trying to forge an armor of logic. This can only be done by using reason instead of unbridled emotion.
The next time your heart races and your mind is full of anxiety and doubts, stop and take a few deep breaths. Go for a walk. Once you calm down, take a good look at what is causing your fear. Visualize overcoming it. Mastering fear will not happen overnight; it takes practice!
Important Note: If your fear or anxiety is persistent and debilitating, seek professional help from your doctor. Support and treatments are available.
